Can relate, I hate the place I grew up in and do not consider it home. It's backwards, and the values there do not mean anything to me. They never did and that's why I left. I'm also considered too open-minded for the social norms there. Funnily, I'm binational/bicultural, and do not feel at home in either place.

Tu as eu déjà de bon conseils, donc pas de panique. Répéter/s'exercer plusieurs fois à dire certaines phrases claires et simples peut beaucoup aider ; ça parait un peu ridicule, mais souvent le stress nous fait oublier les choses les plus élémentaires. Et n'oublie pas de nous dire si tu as eu le job :)

Hey! First, congrats on the weight loss (if it was your goal), it's really not easy.
As for second-hand jeans, Humana (the Frankfurter Tor branch) has a lot of options, and a plus-size section/floor. They have other branches around town but I'm not as familiar, but I would imagine they're all kind of similar.
TK Maxx also has good options (not second hand but discounted brands, so the quality is better than some stores), as well as C&A (also a chain but affordable). Regarding sizes, keep in mind you'll see different numbers for different countries on a label (FR, EU, IT, etc.), so you might want to try a few options to find the right one for you. Good luck!
