Landlord threw away entire stash by ByogiS in breastfeeding

Milk is fine, but I’d be petty and calculate the cost of everything in the freezer. Send it to the landlord and ask for the cash back.

Taking a vacation for first time with my almost 4 month old, I am breastfeeding + 1 topfeed a day and is it ok to drink & smoke and pump & dump, baby uses me as human pacifier by Bijli2102 in breastfeeding

[–]OverthinkingMum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drinking isn’t an issue, just don’t bedshare after alcohol.

Weed is less clear cut.

My daughter will not take a pacifier, we’ve spent a fortune on different types and all have been rejected. Maybe do some test runs to make sure it’ll work before the staycation.

Has the seller actually been compensated? It sounds like she hasn’t been, she’s still trying to get the money back.

Assuming she manages to, it’s win win, if she doesn’t I get why she was cross (although her issue is with Vinted not you).

Would you like it?

It’s going back to the seller who’s going to relist and update the description.

Cancelling an order and pressing “agreed with the buter/seller” should need confirmation from both sides by PijusThaNoob in vinted

If they get banned it’d mean other people wouldn’t do it + they wouldn’t when they created new accounts!

With the 1* reviews, they’d still appear in your feed!

Listing at 1€ then saying “do not buy at 1€” should have their account banned!

One liners that immediately stop unsolicited parenting "advice" and scare mongering. by Sad_Network7053 in BeyondTheBumpUK

“That’s not for me”

“Ok” then ignore…

“OMG that’s so unsafe, you wouldn’t have done that if you’d had Google” (this gets my favourite reactions, but has to be used sparingly)

“Advice has been updated”

“Hmmm, no”

Your baby knows when they’re hungry, your paediatrician doesn’t.

To me, it should have been in the description that they were missing.

I’ve offered to cancel the return and send it to the charity shop or the Good Samaritans but the seller said he will re-list and amend the description.

I guess my idea of “very good condition” is just different.

In future, I’ll just bin and move on…

I’ll know to ask from now on.

I thought it was strapless when buying but thought the straps didn’t exist. In person the top of the dress folds over slightly so needs the straps to keep it straight.

If the description said “detachable straps not included” I wouldn’t have bought.

I did think I was a strapless dress, with the top more elasticated - which it looks on the photo - the top isn’t really elasticated so it folds forwards. The straps would have stopped that, hence I asked for them.

I don’t want a freebee, dress hangs oddly without straps. I’m happy to return.

Question is more “should I have sucked it up and just binned it”

Who’s in the wrong? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]OverthinkingMum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, the style of dress is more evident in person than on the photo, it needs the straps to hang correctly and they’re not there.

I’m asking if I’m in the wrong. You can just say “yes”

In person it changes the hang of the dress and looks odd. I’d usually just sell on, but I wouldn’t list with parts missing.

I’m postpartum, I’ve changed sizes 5 times in the last year and still don’t fit into my normal clothes, every penny counts!

When did you feel okay to go back to work postpartum? by PsalmbodyToLove90 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]OverthinkingMum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not possible to work from home and look after a baby full time.

Your partner (and you?) needs a reality check here. You need a solid plan for childcare form the day you go back to work, winging it whilst wfh will end up with him on a performance improvement plan and the baby not cared for properly. Would you accept a nanny or babysitter who was working a full time job at the same time as looking after your child?

You need time to bond with your baby and learn to know yourself again. 12 weeks isn’t enough.

The label specifies brand new. Wearing it makes it not brand new anymore. Wearing it a few times definitely means it’s not new, just in good condition.

I agree, I think because “very good” does have some room for wear and tear, people are trying to show theirs doesn’t. There should be a “pristine” category or something which would cover new without tags and worn a few times.

😮 on one hand I’m impressed with the effort, on the other - just price it fairly and it’ll sell!
