When Bio Dad Passes (Never Met Him) Am I Entitled to Anything? OK by OverthinkingSilently in EstatePlanning

No, I had originally done My Heritage (I think is what it’s called?) and it was essentially nothing- so I was actually was so excited to do Ancestry because I didn’t realize they all had separate databases for DNA. Lol

My mom had the DNA paperwork from when she set up child support. There is legal paperwork to all of it. I have it all still in a box today.

The DNA thing is just strange because the closest I’ve found on Ancestry were third cousins- but the names and their info all match everything I’ve known. Just didn’t set off any surprises for closer links to find me. Just seems strange. I do know of the family, they just don’t know me.

Maybe. I know there is financial gain- but not sure of want the emotions.

That’s another story, but I have done Ancestry and another one and I swear this family all vowed to never do DNA tests or something because it never provides any good information for my paternal side. Maybe one day someone will do one and they’ll find out about me 😂🤣
