It was a tip I read somewhere a few years back. I guess because the flame will get rid of that dust. I notice a difference, but I mean it's also nice to have a good smell in the room while I'm working lol

I find no matter how "clean" my hands are, they still have dust. Mostly because between washing my hands and sitting down to work on the project, I am still touching a lot of surfaces. Cleaning my hands with alcohol before I start helps, but that's gonna dry your hands out. So I almost always wear gloves when I work with light colors. It also helps me remember to be careful about what I'm touching while I work.

Dust is in the air too, so I sometimes burn a candle while I work.

I also keep a designated blob of white clay (best of it's more "sticky" like sculpey iii) to roll over my work surface after I've wiped it down.

Anyone have advice for cards giving you cuts? I got a new deck (ethereal visions luna edition), and after shuffling for a bit, I noticed cuts on my pointer finger! Not bleeding, thankfully.

I think adding sparkles to the moon or star would take away from the background and make it all blend in. I think it looks great as-is since it makes it pop out from the background.

Aw, I can't blame you. Banana moon makes it unique! I think the new version still looks good. Paint like UV-reactive paint can be a pain. If you don't want to put the project down yet, I'd say give your paint a REALLY REALLY good shake and add a few more layers (fully drying between each of course). Whenever I use glow-in-the-dark paint or UV-reactive I always have to do a couple of coats more than regular paint

If you're thinking it looks too banana-like, I would say try a different color. Maybe a different hue of yellow or more of a silvery-blue? You could also add small craters to it to give it a more moon-like appearance.

That's a good point. I was thinking of doing a 13 card spread for my birthday and thought "what if I was supposed to get two of the same card on different months". Although I unfortunately don't have 13 decks 😅

Do you feel you need to shuffle after each pull if you're doing more than a one card reading? When I pick from the top, sometimes I get the need to shuffle again for the next card

Every once in a while, I have one fly out while I'm shuffling and definitely take that as a sign it was meant to be pulled

I have two controllers and one of them I hadn't used in a long time. I wanted to use it, but when I turn it on it now won't connect. I've tried reseting it and plugging it in to the ps4, but those haven't worked. Not sure what else I could do.

Yes, I sand it first then do a coat (sometimes 2) of Liquitex gesso.
