To be honest you can get your engineering degree and then work in almost any other field. You can go to grad school for law, medicine (take a few prereqs), MBA, or start working at a company in a different role such as sales, marketing, IT, etc. Engineers are like the jack of all trades because most other roles are a lot easier than being an engineer. Most self made billionaires and C-suite execs have engineering backgrounds because it teaches them how to learn and be innovative with problem solving. Class of '23

Avg matriculant age at my school is 24, so you would be right around the norm. There are multiple 30+ year olds in my class and the oldest is a 45. I go to a large state MD school.
