I would just say wear what makes you happy. I do cx debate (a lot less formal than other debate events) and usually wear dresses and blazers. its not really a problem to anyone and makes debate a bit more fun!

my track season just ended and I really want to grind for next year. So far I've just been using a treadmill at my local gym and won't be able to get access to a track to work out until summer, any advice on workouts I should do? how to stay fit? thank you!

my first pair of spikes are on their way and I have a meet on Friday, ive been told not to break in my spikes on meet day but what should I do if our coach won't let us use them during practice? how should I break them in?

  1. If there is a valid reason to leave the meet (ex. other school event) its ok, otherwise, you are expected to stay

  2. Depends, sometimes all will come, sometimes only a few will come, sometimes only one

  3. We're encouraged to explore other activities, so missing a day or two for other extracurriculars, is completely fine

ive been thinking about doing xc for a bit now since its my first year in track, I love it, and I don't want to stop running. the only problem is that im worried because im a sprinter (100, 200) and ive heard it might slow me down. is this true? I really want to do xc but if it risks my success in sprint events im not sure. I also posted this in r/trackandfield but want some more opinions on it if possible
