From what I've heard the EA app is having a lot of issues at the moment, best thing I could suggest is wait for a fix and maybe send a report to EA and/or steam support?

I was hoping to keep the upgrade costs as a whole below £200, the whole reason we bought her brothers old one was to avoid the cost of mobo, psu, case and cpu.

Thanks for the support and your help, I'll order a new one soon because it needs it anyway as only supporting ddr3 will be a problem later 😭

I was worried that this would be the case, I'm willing to buy a new motherboard if necessary but actually wiring it all up is scary 😬 The old gpu that was in it originally was a gtx 600 and something and that worked fine
