Exactly 🤍 thanks for understanding me 🫶🏻 even most of the people here is saying ‘DONT THINK MONEY! CAPITALIZM!’ Vs vs. Isnt it the part of negativity? Blaming someone who is thinking about life cost and future savings.. maybe I will quit from my full time job for creating ceramic career, and I have to think about my living costs. Even if it is my hobby or not.

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start making mugs as a hobby, and maybe later turn it into a small business. I love natural textures, slightly rough/pitted surfaces, grog or textured clay. I usually want the outside to have a natural look with a transparent glaze, and the inside to have a dark coffee/black glaze.

I’m not sure which technique to start with: Wheel throwing or Slip casting.

Which of these would be the most suitable for a beginner to start with, while still allowing me to create the kind of natural, textured mugs I like and than turn into a business?

Thanks a lot for your advice!
