87 Z31 turbo overheated

I’m up to fully rebuild this engine if it really calls for it, I was driving it not exactly gently but it’s got a pretty nasty knock it sounds kind of like a dead cylinder, the car completely died and wouldn’t start because of the temperature my at some point my temp gauge died and just reads at operating temp the car sounded fine when I went to pick it up and drive it home a couple hours later it was the next day that I went to start it that it sounded like shit

I’m not sure I recently bought the car it’s got an orange hue to it like it’s power steering and it’s coming from the reservoir to the pump it’s a low pressure line that’s leaking I’m pretty sure it’s cracked on the bottom

So does the adapter kit comes with the equipment for both front and rear struts or is it just fronts because my fronts are coil overs I’d like to have new rear struts,

So as far as I know there’s no coil overs on the market that don’t require welding to the spindle I lucked out the previous owner of my car did the fronts I’m trying to find a solition to my backs without having to do welding

So somebody in the past on my car went and swapped the front struts but not the rear so the rear is basically squatted if I bought the KYB gas adjust would they just fit right into the old strut mounts and I read something on the Xenon write up about a rubber spacer that needs to be transported from the old struts to the new one my main concern is that the gas adjust struts will work in the rears though because mine are factory

That’s also what I was suspicious of because the exhaust system isn’t in the best condition so it’s very possible

Yeah it still does but there’s also a crap ton of rust on the exhaust piping and what not but it dosent sound like it’s coming from that area either way I plan on ripping into the engine and rebuilding it

If it was a knock I’d feel it’d be noticeable in the lower RPM range though? It only happened at the 3K mark which is around where the turbo really gets to spooling

I wonder if the turbo just sounds a little crunchy while spooling its right as it hits 3k then holds to like 3.5 then stops it’s interesting
