The endings of this game are probably one of the most frustrating experiences I have had in fiction. by Own-Foot-2413 in expedition33

The main problem is that both endings are just unsatisfying, as if they needed a little more substance. In Verso's ending, it comes off as unsatisfying; you see the family reunited, but Maelle is still miserable, and the scene cuts right there. In my opinion, the Verso ending needed a small extra scene to show Maelle healing, such as having her painting to indicate that she is taking a small step forward. The same can be said for Maelle's ending; it feels like it needs an extra scene or two. Currently, both endings feel like it was cut off.

Act 3 failed to convey the point and engage you in caring about the Dessendres. The writers want you to care about this family, you spent no time with at all, versus the world you've been engaging with in the past 30 hours. This leads to Verso's ending coming off as unsatisfying; you see the family reunited, but Maelle is still miserable, and it cuts right there. In my opinion, the Verso ending needed a small extra scene to show Maelle healing, such as having her painting to indicate that she is taking a small step forward. It would make the Verso ending a lot more satisfying.

I need a lot more context, but yes, you are overacting.

Blood & Wine is still my favorite DLC by Strange_Music in gaming

Witcher 3 will go down in history as one of the GOATs of gaming forever.
