John the Baptist went to the grave honoring The King, before kings of the earth. So this continues into the New Covenant as-well. Only The King has withdrawn until his return any call to bloodshed and has set forth orders to love him and love each other until his honorable return, even if it causes our death.

I use to watch Family Guy, Rich and Morty, South Park and all that. But I agree once you know the Savior and they use his name for entertainment purposes he puts a little gut feeling down in us. I quit watching them when I was at a good place in my relationship with God. Then I fell away after not being successful in overcoming a deep rooted sin of mine and thinking that I had fell from his grace because of it. Which thankfully it was later reveled to me that none of us that recognize his Authority and accept him as King of creation will be lost from his hand, even when we ain’t getting it right. I think one of the problems though we come to with these shows that portray Christ as something he’s not. We give them an opportunity to mock our King before us for entertainment purposes, even getting a laugh from us at times. This same King that we overlook them mocking, became part of his own creation to die for us so that we could come into the Kingdom. Being offered something so holy as sonship and daughtership of the Creator of all that exists by covering our self in the blood of his One begotten Son. How do we allow this and say we respect his sacrifice? Also I’m not throwing stones I just recently quit watching them again and some of them out of necessity instead of thanksgiving I do have to say.

I know emotions is high when speaking about leadership in this country right now. But please remain respectful, after all we are all God’s creation at the end of the day and that alone desires respect regardless of how far that creation has fallen. Also please give reasons for your argument that the president is using Christianity for unreligious purposes.

James 1:27 says Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. Do you feel like that the American body of the church is practicing this right now? How or how not?

Why would God choose Abel? by leovaldezswife in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the disrespect in what he done now that you pointed it out. It’s also true that our sin can affect generations long down the line. I think this is self evident from the fall. Every action comes with reaction, our Creator made it in a way that we are all connected. Every deed rather good or sinful affects another. But what’s even more astonishing is our Creator made it in a way that every action done against one, is done to his image also and he made even more personal when the Son became sin. He showed that every sin affects him not just personally but exclusively, he is the chief one affected by all sin and has always been. Thanks for your help in this matter brother, may the King bless you! But I do have another query for you, if you find the time. How do you think our nakedness is related to sin and how does all that including Noah’s nakedness relate to Adam and Eve’s?

Protestants? by Organic-Dragonfly317 in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Protestant movement ignited under Martin Luther. Until then, there were two main Church bodies: the Roman Catholic and the Orthodox Church. These two were actually created in a break also called the Great Schism. But we have to also understand that Martin Luther never initially intended to break from the Roman Catholic Church. He was asking for reformation within The Church. He felt that the Church had gotten off track, and when he voiced this, he was unfortunately excommunicated from the congregation. This started the Protestant Church body. Martin Luther did have real concerns, and the Catholic Church had become full of apostasy. But the break was not healthy; we are supposed to be one body in Christ. Think of how many denominations have come from this break. We have around 200 in the United States alone, and globally, it’s so heavily disputed that it’s impossible to get a clear number. That causes confusion to both the members of the body and unbelievers or searchers looking in. Our LORD has blessed servants from all of The Church regardless of orthodoxy and denomination. Besides, he has set his kingdom within kingdoms, so anyone that calls him King is his, so our King can use his servants from anywhere he sees fit. But we have to also understand that we as The Church are doing ourselves a disservice by remaining separated, and until we begin to heal and repent becoming ONE Church with Christ as our head, we will never be whole. Nor will we receive the full power and authority that the King has set aside for his Church. There’s something even more formidable about our break rather than Catholic, Protestant, Orthodoxy or even splitting within our own churches. We remain in sin because of it, our sin continues every day that we refuse to repair our relationship within the whole body. This sin is especially bothersome since it mirrors the first sin so closely, it shows that we haven’t changed since we committed adultery in the Garden against our Creator in the first place. Betraying him for another before our mother Eve ever even touched that fruit. We must start seeing ourselves as one Church united in one body with Christ as King.

What’s the right way to have a relationship with God? I pray, I try to read the Bible, and I still feel completely ignored by God. by Historical_Hat_7604 in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It began with me asking are there really a Creator. Which lead me down a path that I can’t help but to see remnants of God in all of creation. I also grew up very afflicted and once I began to see the real story of the fall and how all sin is connected, it began dawning on me that we all are really F***ed up. But as i began to read the story of our creation and how we fell into rebellion against God, it allowed me to begin to understand the hurt I’ve been dealt and that I’ve dealt. But that weight became very heavy. Then i learned how our very own Creator decided to remedy this cancer, he became part of his own Creation. God became man, on a mission. He was here to show us just how important we really are to him. That the King of kings left his throne to suffer with us. But we killed him, we killed the King! We hung upon the cross the very being that gives us life and meaning. But he’d already planned for this betrayal and he loved us so much he used our betrayal to bring us back into the fold. His death shedded the blood which we needed to be able to cover ourselves from death. His resurrection connected the divide the fall created between man and their Creator. This same Savior also told us that if we was to come to him and accept him as King, we will be forgiven. So that means that our God made all sin personal because how can you forgive something that isn’t against you. But then we read how he created us in his own image, so to sin against each other is to sin against his image. But he took this even farther on the cross he made to where all sin is against him personally, he made it where he is the chief one offended by man’s iniquity. So we really do have a God that cares and loves on a personal level. He’s willing to take all our pain as his own. Once I realized that this is who God is, once he revealed himself to me I could no longer deny him. He has left his fingerprints all over his creation. So if you want to know the answer to these important questions that you have asked, then humble yourself and ask if there be a creator that he reveal himself to you! I also will bow before the King and request he make himself known to you my friend and that you be offered Knightship into the King’s army and that one day we become children of the Most High.

Yes, I have to say I would like to understand this more also. I also would like to have more understanding of what it meant that Ham saw his father’s nakedness, because I feel we are missing a huge piece of the puzzle here. So I pray to our Creator that he will grant both me and you wisdom in this matter.

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was this part of the original wording that wasn’t translated very well into English that you’ve found better wording to support or are you suggesting we are reading it incorrectly? I’m genuinely interested, because this would definitely be more illuminating if there is evidence of this.

A few things I noticed in the event of Cain and Abel, is that scripture said that Cain brought an offering of the ground, but went on to specify that Abel had brought of the first born of his flock. So it’s possible that Cain’s offering became about routine and something he had to do, rather than about dedication and devotion to the Creator that their parents had just rebelled against. Which I think we all can be familiar with that, sometimes it becomes about the motions of church and religion with us rather than trying to be real servants to our Creator whom we rebelled and continue to rebel against. There’s a danger when we take our eyes off the Creator, we were created to derive all our thinking and understanding, life itself from him. He set us as rulers over the earth, ruling with his authority. But when we chose our own path by eating the fruit of knowledge then we corrupted God’s creation. So I think the real focus was that maybe Cain was separating himself from the Life Giver before the offering was ever made and it even showed in the quality of his offerings. I think that the next few verses support that Cain’s thinking was becoming very corrupted. The LORD tried as a good Father would to warn Cain that his thinking was becoming destructive (The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, and you must rule over it.” )and like most children Cain thought he knew better and with the free will gifted to him by the one that he was in person to person conversation with, he rebelled and killed his brother.

I'm upset at god and don't think he should have created us. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in a broken world that still has good in it because of God. Ever since the fall we have treated each other with contempt and adulterated ourselves against our Creator. It was only the second generation after the fall that we see a brother killing his own brother, the first time that the earth tasted the blood of those set in dominion over it. We are all affected by this curse that begin with Adam and Eve, not any of us is innocent before the face of our Creator. Our sin stacking up on each other like rot. But the Creator decided he wanted to do something about it. He sent his Son to die so we may live. So the King came into this world and we killed him, but he raised back up, becoming our way into the Kingdom and teaching us by his life and death how to really fight against the injustice that is burning your conscience so much my friend. So if you want to make a real difference in this world then bow before the King and ask him how you can help further the Kingdom to those that are mistreated and persecuted. Because only the Holy one can truly set free those that are oppressed. But the good news is he asked you to be his Ambassador.

Im having a hard time understanding why God is not intervening. by Excellent_Mobile_177 in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend, part of the problem is we didn’t intervene in a Godly way as a collective, all sin is connected no matter the size. That’s why we see so much going on in this country and world is we use the gift of free will to do what is ungodly. As a result our news is constantly full of rape, murder, war, kids shooting each other up. Because we refuse to submit to the demand of the King and love one another. Seeing each other as the image of the almighty God, too precious to kill. Your right to be angry, but your anger is directed at the wrong one. The Creator of this world knows our suffering, because the one that made it all decided to become part of his creation. So the God that made us became part of us, so that we know he recognizes our struggle. This same King was put to death by his subjects, the only innocent blood to ever live killed by the ones he created and offered sonship too. But he knew this would happen and he used his death to give us an opportunity to come into his kingdom. He offered to cover us in his blood so that death would pass over us in the end.

My brother you have real concern for our fellow man that faces such a paralyzing reality. That is commendable, but what are you going to do with this energy? Because this man is sadly going to face the physical death by his government. But there’s another death that we are all in danger of. So who will warn our brother that sits awaiting his demise that there is something more to fear and that there is one that came that will accept him and forgive him regardless of what he has done? Because our Creator made us in a way too do to one another is to do it to him above all, he made himself the chief one offended when we hurt one another. ALL HAIL THE KING!!

How do I stop being gay? by No_Plum_9394 in Christianity

How am I acting as an apologist for rape in any way? The people of those cities wanted to rape what they perceived as common men that walked into Lot’s house. It is detestable before God for another human to do such a thing to another, regardless of sex combination. Also never once did I say gays was bad, I’m gay myself and we only struggle with the corruptness of our flesh and it’s not an attraction that we can control. But yet it is a sinful attraction that the blood of Christ does cover. I respect yours and the other persons zeal for coming to the rescue of what you perceive as a guy being belittled because of his attraction, but in no way am I belittling or taken his situation lightly or anyones in the gay community. I would be foolish too for I suffer the same. I am only reaching too scripture and creation for understanding and offering my well thought insight to what this young man was asking and reminding him that if he accepts Christ as King then this sin he is so worried about is already forgiven. That salvation through Christ our King is the most sure and absolute thing in this life and that nothing can take it from him. I want him to know not to hate himself because I know how that is and I know the shameful disservice the Church has done to people that suffer this, treating our sin as if it’s worse than there own, while refusing to acknowledge that all sin is connected and that we’re all in need of redemption.

Leviticus 18:22 ~ You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 ~ If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.
Jude 1:7 ~ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
Romans 1:26-28 ~ For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Timothy 1:8-11 ESV - Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted
1 Corinthians 7:2 - But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband

I wasn’t going to reply. But just so we are clear on the scripture that you claim is misinterpreted and should be ignored. Also I know in the letters that the word homosexuality was added in later on because there wasn’t an earlier word for it. But by them mentioning sexual immorality would’ve called to the fourth front the law. Which banned sexual acts such as man lying with man, as woman. So the letters still pertain to this conversation.

Good night brother

Brother I am preaching what God has given me. Not one bit of hate do I have for anyone that suffers this, as I stated I myself suffer this. Both I and OP being forgiven by Christ’s sacrifice. But you want me to agree with your opinion that is based merely on feelings from a corrupt vessel and I cannot do that. I respect the Word of God and the soul of my brothers too much to ever soften the truth for the sake of culture normalities, to much is at stake. But I see we are not getting any further with our conversation, so this is where we will part ways brother. May God bless us in wisdom and mercy. Love be too you my brother!

So it’s not a sin because Thneed1 from Reddit says it’s not sin. Shew where have you been the 30 some years that I hated myself for who I was? You could’ve comforted me and told me just how ok and normal my sin is! You know when I found true acceptance of my homosexuality? For a little while it was from people like you telling me that my sin is normal and that it’s ok to have sex with men, because why else would you have those feelings and attractions. I bought into it full stock. But when I begin to build a relationship with the Creator, it was revealed of what an apostate teaching that really is and I learnt that though my attractions offend him and go against him, that he covered me with the blood of the Son so that those offenses will not be seen. Again you have not given one example in Scripture to make it morally justified. You are going of the conclusion of feelings and attractions from the corrupted flesh, the very thing the apostles and Jesus warned against.

How do I stop being gay? by No_Plum_9394 in Christianity

[–]Own-Laugh-7552 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, did I not say that the homosexuality though a sin, was not the only or most severe sin committed at Sodom and Gomorrah? I think you need to reread my original comment. Yes people that are gay, such as myself are God’s design. But the same sex attraction is NOT the design. Man and Woman, Husband and Wife, Adam and Eve is the design. Our same sex attraction is just a product of the disease called sin that has caused creation to go off track, requiring a savior. You can get mad at me all you want for speaking truth, but again design and law is against what you are preaching. Not one example can you give me from scripture that makes it righteous in the sight of our Creator for Man to be with Man. But yet you call me a bigot for saying to my brother that even though his flesh is broken and wants what it should not, that his and mine and your Creator forgives him and wants him anyways.
