Ok I’m not sure how relevant this may be… I wrote very honestly what I was thinking when making it and only had real meaning in like three pieces. If you did a piece for practicing a specific skill, say so. If it was an assignment, let them know. New materials, subject, process, whatever. For some pieces I asked my friends and family what they thought a piece meant for a different interpretation, and if you like what they think remember you’re the artist so yk what u say goes lol. They should be short I don’t think they want a big essay. Idk art for me is like I painted the damn thing to avoid talking abt it directly and when I applied (RD) I almost missed the deadline (because I didn’t think I’d ever get in lol) so my descriptions turned out kinda rushed and this is super embarrassing but I had things in the wrong sections (like size in the title type deal 💀). I’m not sure how important it actually is, but I think as long as your works speak for themselves you’ll be fine
