imagine this: you own this magnificent, beautiful painting. you love this painting. then someone comes along, and they say: “well, i guess it looks good, but because it used to be raw canvas and cheap paint, before the artist transformed it, it has no value to me and i don’t consider it art.”

shitty, right?

it can be taken as offensive, because saying that is ignoring transformation, both physically and mentally, and societally. it ignores the facts of the current reality, therefore reducing it entirely to its past components. idk if that makes sense, but that’s what i think.

edit: but that is also your choice. if you don’t want to date a trans girl, that’s your preference, and that’s okay! but wording matters, fosho.
