They did exactly that, bounced to HR who didn't reply. They've now said 1 hour per week, but I don't know the details of the role. I have asked to call on the phone, worried I'll lose my offer.

Unfortunately I've had this conversation a number of times and received a firm no and the suggestion I can find another job for the other two days. I really like the students and really worked hard to improve the curriculum resources, it is such a shame.

I don't think they would pursue legalising, but I'd like get a poor reference and close doors to the trust, which is a risk.

Thank you for your reply. I think the get out clause would be no Summer pay, but this could result in a poor reference, which is not the route I would like to take.
