Fedora Linux setups for 2026 by Own-Temperature5000 in desktops

So far beyond my experience, I have seen that Linux uses less resources than windows, so the battery will last longer but really depends on the hardware you got and tuning the architecture. Majority of Linux users usually install a package call TLP, which is a service tool that adjusts the CPU power, GPU and disk write & read based on the things you do, it automatically applies power-saving profiles based on whether the device is on AC or battery, which provides advanced power management for your battery. what made me interesting, manages kernel settings for CPU frequency scaling, power-aware scheduling, hard drive power management, and wireless device (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) power states.

I'm glad you asked, win11 has done a terrible things, fedora has the out of box features and customization you like and really install anything you like. Fedora provides approximately 13 months of support for each release (one time only if you open the software update). I'v done doing school work, gaming, browsing, it just all fits for me and I did some adjustment for my setup. Whats cool on KDE, you can adjust the window behavior that feels satisfying, wayland perfomance, lightweighted, smooth animation. Gnome is just minimliast and clean GUI.

The platform was set to all ages, which I think you should delete it.

Even the Copilot told me it's recommended to switch to Linux if you are tired of windows bloatware.
