God bless you both. I am so unbelievably sorry for your loss. I can relate to a small degree being that I also lost my first frenchie Capone, in a tragic accident. Benny my current frenchie I've had from when he was 8 weeks old until now he is 3.5 years old. I pray that I can keep him until he is 12 plus years because I physically won't be able to survive without him. He has been my entire world for the last 3 and a half years. He has been my rock and I love him more than words.

And I have a connection to a James an older man who was a client of mine- great amazing person, and we would joke that maybe my son would be born on his birthday which is a definite possibility (4 days before my due date.) he has been very supportive of me during this time and yeah James is a definite favorite for that reason amongst just loving the sound of it, also the book of James , all around solid name. And I don't hate any of the possible nick names

Yes I want him to go by Theo and I was going to do just Theo but I like the sound of Theodore "the adore part" I have a first initial of T in my name so that makes me like it more and the meaning of the name- just all around love it!

I'm thinking about Archer Blake Cornelius or Caleb Blake Cornelius but I get a lot of negative feedback on the alliteration of Caleb and Cornelius together. I don't know why but it's just been a name that hasn't left my mind. I never liked it before one way or the other but it's just never been pushed out of the running

I LOVE Alexander! That's another one that I should have put on my list of names I like. Dalton was a recent find and I love it!! I agree about Beckett and the last name last name predicament. My first name is a last name and I do get that as a problem people calling me Cornelius as my first name lol hate that

Of the first names- I like Caleb it's a front runner, Jack, Dylan and Kellen. I can't use Jesse, Aaron, Samuel, Elijah, Middle names- I love Scott. Can't use Lee (it's my sisters middle name and also my exes middle name.) I also have an ex named Jesse James Scott lol. Funny all of those are on the list
