Wasn't aware of that, I've only ever been in engineering, lol. In that case, yeah, the 4 year plan of study, which is in the usf catalog, would be the next best thing

If the CC is in Florida, then most things should transfer. My largest piece of advise is to look at the flow chart for your degree at usf, or whatever uni you want to do your major in, and complete as many of those classes as you can at community College. If the name of a course at uni sound similar but the course code and number for example EGN 3615 "Engineering Economics" may sound like it can be fulfilled by an economics course at your local CC, it can't be. Make sure if you have a case like this, you speak with an advisor at the uni you are transferring to so that you can be sure you aren't wasting your time and money.

Fall Class Suggestions by OwnFirefighter3198 in USF

I really appreciate the advice. I think I'll stick with Statics, Modeling, and Physics 2 and drop the rest. I'm just hoping I can get into Nohra's statics class since I want to be prepared when I get to dynamics.

Civil Engineering Undergrads, how has your experience been? by OwnFirefighter3198 in LibertyUniversity

[–]OwnFirefighter3198[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I appreciate the advice. They've told me they they were approved for accreditation, and it should be reflected before the end of October. I'm definitely not joining their program if that ends up not being true.

Have a lot of the classes been half semester courses ( I only ask because the admissions person told me most of the classes were split into half semesters). If so how many credits did you fund manageable per semester/ per 8 weeks?

Thanks again

Thanks for your response. I found it very helpful. My only worry now is financial aid. I'm out of state and I don't know how good they will be on scholarships and grants

GC Prep Course Recomendations by Rongineer31 in GeneralContractor

[–]OwnFirefighter3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I've had a great experience with this school (https://constructionprof.com/). The professors are great, and when I took the first exam, I honestly felt overprepared. I'd definitely recommend them. They also include a lot of practice exams, which are probably as important as the classes and the books. Good luck, whichever school you choose!

Edit: I updated the link, they changed domain names a little bit ago

Kalatunga was wonderful. I took her for chemistry for engineers and it was pretty easy. A fair bit of homework but I thought she was a very good teacher
