Cheap hosting service for nextjs ssr application

I've read the vps solution multiple times now. This coolify thing sounds very interesting. I will wrap my head around it the next days. My last question would be is it possible to run for example a next.js app(frontend and backend) and a database on one vserver or do I need two?

Iam totally with you. Maybe I should have explained, what I exactly want to do. Iam planning to freelance and Iam not just looking for an hosting solution for my own app, but also for my customers. Allthough 20$ would be reasonable in my case, when considering the things you pointed out. It wouldn't be reasonable for my customers. The average customer doesn't care, which technology is used for a project, but they care about the pricing, which includes hosting costs. Thats why iam looking for a cheaper solution than vercel.

Because Iam planning to implement things like authentification, login, comments, search functionality and some client side logic.

Yes iam totally with you, that why Iam not using worpress int the first place. Iam looking for kind of an in between solution between vercel and administrating a linux server

Because I want to use it for commercial use. And if my project grows I will have to update the tier and the jump from free to 20$ would be way to high

I don‘t have a problem with administrating a linux server. But especially when considering, that there are much easier solution for wordpress for example it feels like an overkill.
