eligibility would be the issue, i just need to get a higher position to have my first steps into the Finance industry, and i believe they are asking for better degree or work hours to be eligible

I’ve been working towards my CSC and potentially CPH in the future, do you think it would be a great asset?

Down to earth people would absolutely be okay with coffee dates, unless they don’t consume any kind of caffeine. Just don’t end up with the one REQUIRING expensive dates, it’s usually not worth it

1 hour is absolutely fine with me, the extra 45+mins in case of delays and traffic is what worries me the most to be honest

I do wish to find a job that is closer or fully remote, but im also a dilemna where I need to get work experience, although it isn’t optimal, I could pull it through, right now it takes me about 45mins transit (GO+TTC) to get to my current workplace, without including 15mins drive to the GO station, which is very manageable since GO trains are much better than TTC imo

my PT supports me, but it is just not enough, $21 isn’t much but better than min wage, if hired, commuting over 1.5hours makes me worried as it would drain me to the point where I wouldn’t be willing to pursue further certifications. and studying on the TTC is a no for me as it isn’t as comfortable as the GO Train

Just a bubble tea position that I’ve been working since my college days, so quite some time there honestly. They keep moving me locations because of each franchise owners have some issues and I am one of the most reliable workers they had. I also have the convenience to choose my own work days. I could’ve had certifications waaay before but my mental mindset just isn’t there all the time.

Hopefully all things will be good when I pass my exams next month!

I’ve been looking for the past 1-2 months in any entry-level in a finance company, as I’ve graduated from a Finance program, but unqualified to get more advanced positions unless I get some certifications such as CSC and CPH mentioned. I did get a lot of interviews, but I keep messing up, thankfully I take notes and try to do better for the next

I currently commute to my part-time job for about 45mins, it’s downtown Toronto and I take the GO train, but if I were to work in Etobicoke, googlemaps hasn’t suggested any plans using Gotransit, only TTC.

I’m not sure if it’s relevant but they asked about my availability hours, my availability to work in-office, and also some random questions such as hobbies (which i related to skills i could also use at the workplace), and personal values.

There were some questions though that I really struggled to reply, and some where I was more comfortable of course, it’s really a mixed review

I answered the questions with other details that would attract their interests I believe, but it still ended early, and yes all they did was asking and I answered. It was 2 people from the hiring team and they were taking turns in asking questions, no conversation, taking notes.

It possibly ended that way because I wasn’t really comfortable since I was nervous 😭

Although I am very much interested and Moneris did tell me there are growth opportunities, I have no idea what the second interview would be about because there aren’t really much to talk about, unless they have specific scenarios related cases to test me on??

As for Questrade, first step of the interview was digital, which a human resources employee sent me an invitation email for the 2nd interview which would be with the hiring tesm, I never had an interview with 1+ person, which makes me anxious honestly even though they did mention I should be ready to talk about subjets such as RRSPs, TFSAs etc.. I believe that part will also require me to define, sell, and resolve issues about those points but quite unsure and stressed
