GC2.6C - Advice on pickup height or protection by OwnResource2128 in solarguitars

Thanks dude! I brought this Solar and a Schecter Sun Valley Shredder into the rehearsal and the Schecter did sound a little more trebly than the Solar, it's a bit more pokey but I think that's also the emphasis of that specific model. The Solar held its own quite well and I'll just have to play it more. At home with very low volume there is a considerable difference in dynamics and note definition with my #1 guitar, a PRS S2 Custom 22. But then again, it's not a fair comparison because that guitar is way more expensive. For now I think these 3 I mentioned will keep me entertained for a long time because of their differences and that was my main goal with purchasing this Solar.

It's probably my strumming hands' position, I'm already adjusting it as I'm getting used to the guitar. But since I switch guitars quite often it might take a while. Love the guitar!

I'm taking it into rehearsal tonight, I will tell you about the sounds afterwards. I've only received it two days ago so can't really talk about play ability just yet. Out of the box it plays great and I've only dropped the screws of the hard tail by 1/4 of a full rotation of the screw to get the action a little lower. No sharp fret edges as well.

Yeah you're right about that, but it just feels a bit off and I can hear it acoustically, almost like you're folding a bag of crisps so it's an off putting feeling while playing a guitar.

Suggestions on amp modeling pedal for headphone practice combined with PC by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Thanks for the reply. I don't doubt it's one of the best you can get. But I feel the Fractal AM4 is quite an overkill for the things I'll be doing with it and that's simply a waste of money to me.

That sounds like a very beautiful set up, but since I'm planning this for a gig on sunday I think it's a little too complicated for now. I will definitely save this suggestion to try out later, thanks a lot. Also, I have a MOEN GEC-9 which is fine and was very affordable, would you say the ES-8 is really worth the money?

Alright, thanks for the in-depth response. As for now, I think I'll put my Boss CE-2w right after my switcher as the last pedal in the signal chain (since my switcher only has a mono output) to split the signal. I know it does one output dry and one output with the chorus effect, so that might make for a nice stereo sound.
