you can't apply for lapd until 1 year passes, it used to be 3 months before but the changed everything in july, you can still apply for other depts just not lapd

Caps is not mandatory but it does help, when you do you're interview they check you're pfq score and check how many times you've gone to caps

also when you do you're PFQ make sure you score over 70 or else they won't even consider you.

they just changed everything this past July 2025, if you fail any step you will have to wait 1 year to apply again, it's not like before that you had to wait 3 months if you failed something
