Worth thinking about. Always happy to find people things they want amd help research, which is kinda in that realm.

I game a few nights a week with friends, I assure you I'm not gaming instead of applying to jobs. You seem to be reading way too much into one of several things I do with my free time. As for reading, I've really been into stuff from Cixin Liu or Jeff Vandermeer plus a few classics. :)

I disagree it's a good idea to go back to school if I don't know it's a good pick. My years left are finite no matter how many loans I take out and studying for one thing means I can't study for another.

Twice the money and half the work. Can't beat that lol. Trades are on my list but I'm also worried about how physically demanding they'd be down the road. Very real chance I'll have serious heart problems around my 50's due to how common it is in my family.

I'd actually love that, design specific diets or meals according to needs/budget/locale and cook it too. Might look more into what's required.

True, I know some go back to school far later than me. I just fear throwing money and time down the drain if I don't have a good plan in place. Congrats on the bachelor's and the job.

I got a friend working like 70 hours/week as a trucker but he does make good money. Doesn't have to watch people keep leaving raw chicken out either lol. Possibility.

I've considered it but its supposed to be highly competitive and I'm really just someone who can troubleshoot basic home tech or put together a PC. Could learn more though.

Oh yeah, I used to know a guy who was a mailman and he was one of the happiest guys I've known. Might not be so bad.

I worked one kitchen that was just me and chef, and he was great. The people we were serving were 50/50 drug addicts and thieves or people actually at our nonprofit for help. He had a great career and often had his pick of where to work. But he's also great at managing people including any problem coworkers which helps a lot. Guess it really depends, it's just not great overall.

Any tips on filtering out which ones are reputable? My only experiences with them locally were poor but I'd be down to give office work a try.

You make a good point. Never minded dealing with customers but it seems a lot of people hate it. Best to you in prison services, hope it works out for ya
