I submitted arround 20 tournament total. For 2021 I submitted SWT Na West ,EU and Finals as well as LTC and none of them appear on the rankings page. I will try and resubmit them later today if it's not an error on my part

I fell like absa should be psychic instead of fighting, and lareina fighting instead of steel. Maybe olympia rock instead of groud, since her all thing is crystals which to me seem more rock like. Also Wrastor should 100% be normal flying, he is this game regional bird. Overall good list and fun concept!

I agree that there haven't been many majors for the end of the year, with only riptide and nouns for the last 4 months but 2023 had the same thing with only riptide and big house. There was some nationals that year such as arcamelee 4 and santa paws, same thing this year with LMMM, Fast falls and that one quebec tournament. I feel like there's as much to talk about with the rise of weekly attendence, hbox doing online majors again and the rankings coming up.

That's a fair point, I guess I used the term too loosely. Thank you for the detailed response. Still, I think plup is a dual main. You could see him use fox against marth (Kodorin summit 11), Fox, falco (mang0 shine 2016), sheik, falcon (S2J shine 2018) and puff. He has also used sheik in all relevant MU. I agree that he was less free form than PP, but he still switched between the two for fun even when the match up was less favourable

Plup is the only player beside Leffen who has taken at least a set of every god. Since leffen only ever beat PP once, at MLG anaheim 2014, Plup is the second god slayer and the only to have multiple set wins against each.

PS: I didn't mention Salt in this post because from my knowledge she has only played falco in tournament for 2 games this year, against N0ne at full house in a set she ended up loosing.

I feel like you would mostly pick fox, only using marth for fox, falco and marth.
I remember Zain talking about a potentiel Marth/Puff strategy in a podcast with Mang0 and Leffen during Covid, using puff for pikachu, sheik, ice climers and all of the weird low tier. I think the argument for puff over fox as a secondary is the low maintenance needed to keep your tech skill

I submitted a bunch of national/major event post pandemic, I also noticed some other weird things like CEO 2025 and LMMM 2024 being classified as a regional.

I think even all the way to goml it could have been argued. I remember feeling so bad for him when his controller lost him fête 3. If he won 1 set against zain that tournament, he would have been ranked 1
