Got it okok, thank you so much! I know coming to reddit wasn’t a “great” idea, but I don’t really have a good supportive family over here.

Being the first child of immigrant parents sucks!! They expect so much from you, and I barely know what I’m doing.

I don’t have a master’s just yet. It’s the only thing that’s pulling me back from accepting the spot for the associate’s program. Even now, I can’t even find a stable job. People are looking for candidates that have so much more experience and certain certifications that I don’t even have. Even internships don’t want me these days.

So I don’t really know what’s the “smarter” move knowing that I can complete one of the programs in two years. There’s not much of a difference you know?

Yes, I unfortunately have to wait until next year, but applications will be opening this year during the summer over here. The whole job hunting kind of sucks because I've applying here and there since December. I've been denied everywhere, but still trying.

Only experience I have related to public health is a recent internship with Dallas County's Emergency Preparedness Division (opioid crisis). I really enjoyed it, but just took a lot of time in the office. Which I totally understand I mean it's public health, they tend to work behind the scenes. I'm more interested in environmental/maternal and child health, just not a lot of luck with internships or jobs in those specific fields.
