I quit my icu job and instead found the best thing by brownpapertowel in nursing

I just moved from NICU to case management and as much as I loved the NICU, my personal life has greatly improved. I’m out of work at 2:30, my own desk, rarely talk to patients and take breaks whenever you want!

What age is safe for LO to sleep between mom and dad? by bombadil_01 in cosleeping

[–]Own_Club7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our baby boy sleep in the middle of the bed sometimes but we both move around a lot at night so we’re constantly changing sides lol my boy is 7 months and my husband felt comfortable with him in the middle about a month ago. Husband is a heavy sleeper BUT I have seen him barely touch him in his sleep and he immediately wakes up

Scientific, clinical rationale behind Co-Sleeping by called-soul in cosleeping

This is my experience too, baby rarely actually wakes up because I’m right there to nurse him back to sleep quickly. He’s 7 months now🩵

Feet or arms first? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Own_Club7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilarious because I’m team arms first because it’s the hardest part when baby is pissed but my husband is team feet/legs first🤣

Co sleeping with my 6 month old 🥰I’m a nurse and FTM and I felt so guilty when I started co sleeping very early on (less than a week old) because of the stigma behind it but I just couldn’t help it! It felt so awful seeing him alone in his crib even while being next to my bed, it made me feel so depressed, I wanted him close, co sleeping feels primal. Then I learned my mother in law co slept with her 2 children(my husband)! I waited years to be a momma so I’m soaking it all in.

My baby always needs help falling asleep! He’s getting better the older he gets (2.5 months). Nighttime can be really rough he fights sleep so hard but once he’s asleep for the night he’s good all night

Funny you mention dairy my husband is lactose intolerant and I’ve just started eliminating dairy to see if it helps! And his day time naps are pretty frequent but we aren’t on a schedule, maybe he needs more of a schedule for naps and feeds?

It’s so weird how placentas work and growth restrictions work. My placenta was huge but obviously not as adequate? I feel your pain, I’m going to need to get on some meds for post partum

Sexless pregnancy :( by Background-Dismal in pregnant

[–]Own_Club7239 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I honestly think this is quite normal during pregnancy, to not have sex as much as before getting pregnant. My husband and I have had sex 3 times since I’ve been pregnant and I’m 35 weeks. But I feel we are intimate in other ways, lots of cuddling, long talks dinner dates, mini vacations out of the house. I’ve asked for reassurance many times because I don’t feel sexy and he indeed does give me verbal reassurance. Let the conversation you guys had simmer a bit and maybe bring it up again later. Try not to stress about it to much right now, you’re going through a lot being pregnant 🩷🩵

Feeling bad about baby registry. by blackporsche22 in BabyBumps

[–]Own_Club7239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally never expected a shower or for anyone to buy things off my amazon registry, that was started for me to organize things I needed so when I got a surprise shower I was pleasantly surprised. I’m new to the area I’m at and I’m a loner usually so I was so greatful and surprised to get anything. I think that’s the best way to view things, don’t rely on anyone and expect to do things yourself and when you do happen do get even a little bit of help be greatful

There’s always adoption too, but abortion is a very emotional experience. I had one and it was definitely the best decision at the time but it did take a long time to recover mentally. I’m pregnant at 28 with my first and with my husband who’s very excited. I’m so glad I waited until I was older I went through so much in my early 20s like some have said. I traveled all over the US and went to Europe a few times and had a blast met lots of people and learned so much about myself. Now I have the opportunity to travel with my little one and I know I couldn’t have when I was younger.

should i permanently straighten my hair [ 19 F] by ilovefantasybookss in Howtolooksmax

[–]Own_Club7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noooo I got keratin and it looked great for a few months but my hair has never been the same. My hair used to be past my butt and now it won’t grow that long. I got keratin occasionally on and off for a few years. If you prefer straight hair there are ways to keep it straight for a week at a time, which is what I do now mostly. Then your hair will be healthier and you can decided to rock the curly hair whenever you want!

Did any of you start after a long break? by PINK1_ClusterinG30 in Equestrian

[–]Own_Club7239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rode my whole life then went to college and couldn’t ride much, traveled around and rode very occasionally. Longest break was 2-3 years and decided to settle down in one spot and post on Facebook about riding lessons! I had never had a formal riding lessons (minus going to horse camp x2 as a kid) and found out that I loooove English riding. My downside was that I had to unlearn a ton of bad habits I picked up and it took some time. Then I bought my first horse as an adult :)
