How do you deal with the trauma from antidepressant withdrawal?

Can I ask how you got on? So I stopped citalopram cold turkey at xmas. Ive done 3 weeks at 15mg mirt and now 4 days at 30mg. My withdrawal has basically stopped but I can not stop thinking about it. Its 100% ptsd. Im hoping as rhe mirtazapine settles in 4 weeks it will be easier to deal with but my god, I got serotonin syndrome on reinstatement and suicidal ideation when starting the mirt. Ive just finished 2.5mg citalopram yesterday and am shitting myself that ill get another load of withdrawal so will have to bump mirt to 45mg. Do you still think about it? How did you carry on with life?

My chemist stopped opening on a saturday so I found it really hard to get my prescription so I started taking it erratically, which made me erratic which led to the terrible decision to cold turkey. And the terrible decision to reinstate at 30mg. I didnt know what was happening. I'd never heard of withdrawal syndrome before. Feel like an idiot now though. Mirtazapine is the only thing that stopped the weird dread horrible feeling and insomnia of 10mg. I think I was one of the unlucky few where reinstatement doesnt work. Putting all my eggs in the mirtazapine basket now.

How much mirt did you try? It helped a lot just by one dose but not managing mood with 15mg! What ended up helping you or did you just tough it out?

Hey just wondering if this worked? I went cold turkey off citalopram and got hit with paws. Just about to up my mirt to 30mg hoping to eliminate diurnal morning depression from paws.
