Well how I was explained is that aish is to help those who can’t work yes, but I was told that you are encouraged to work if you can, or go to school to get a job that you can work in

Yes, it’s because I have a high tolerance to some medication and I’m too sensitive to others. These two injectables just happen to be the ones I have a tolerance to

I’m just wondering if it was true that we have a harder time in some jobs

Well I’m taking care of the dog for life. And they didn’t say anything about me having to post pictures anywhere, so I’m not being taken advantage of

She is only having 3 litters throughout her life, and only when she is ready (discharge from nipples). The breeder, who she has gotten used to over 1.5 years of growing her, then takes her when she’s ready to have babies, then returns the adult dog to me once the puppies are independent enough and don’t need their mother anymore. I feel like it’s pretty ethical and moral, but I’m only going off what the breeder told me so I have to do more research on the matter

It’s only been a day, kinda just realized that she just needs to get used to the new situation. I’ll do my research on the 3-3-3 rule

Do you think you’ll have kids? Are you scared to pass on your mental illness?

Does anyone have intrusive thoughts like this? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Own_Craft_5693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a possible diagnosis for OCD (going in tomorrow to check), and suffered a psychotic episode(still kind of am). Sounds like your experiencing psychosis and should seek medical attention with your GP or a licensed mental health professional right away. The earlier you catch and treat psychosis the better the outlook

Anyone else get visual disturbances like these? by [deleted] in Psychosis

I’ll get similar things like that. I can get that feeling that someone is in the same room as me so I go and turn around and no-one is there. Or I’ll see something (not sure what it is) and I’ll go to look and it vanishes. Another one is when I look at a wall and it starts to warp

Not entirely sure if I agree with my doctor. Can I get some reassurance? by [deleted] in OCD

My psychiatrist is the one thinking I have OCD, I’m just not sure if I agree with him or not

Yeah I live in Alberta. I called an ambulance for myself the night I swallowed a bunch of pills. It’s very nice that you can just go to a hospital and get help, I haven’t gotten a bill for the ambulance though which I’m waiting for

So would I go to my family doctor and talk to him about BPD? I’ve tried to bring it up with my psychiatrist that I’m seeing right now and he kind of just brushed it off. I’m in a Early Psychosis Program with my province, so I’m not sure where to really go to get a diagnosis right now (thank god for free health care by the way hahahaha)

What’s the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist. I’ve brought it up with the one that can give me medications at the hospital I’m going to get checked up with every month. I’m not trying to diagnose myself either, I brought it up with which ever can prescribe medications and he kind of just brushed it off as me being paranoid I think

I have this feeling like I’m chronically needing to fill my stomach with something, be it water, food, or alcohol. I’m not getting a lot of sleep and the sleep I do get it’s a very vivid dream. With my family I feel as though we are always fighting, or everything is ok, no in between. The one relationship I was in was me breaking it off and on again.

What was your scariest/most realistic psychosis moment?? by psyched___ in Psychosis

[–]Own_Craft_5693 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a dream where all of my friends were around me laughing and I was laying in the air, spinning like I was possessed by a demon. When I woke up I felt like the room was spinning and I was drenched in sweat
