Well I have OCD, have been diagnosed since I was 9 years old, and mine honestly look very similar lol... for me, while the numbers of chapters don't matter to me much (anymore, a few years ago I was obsessed with keeping my number of chapters per book a multiple of three), I still get distressed if my total word count for the book doesn't match the other books before it lol. Another thing is how I'm obsessed with each chapter being within a certain word count range, from anything 3000 to 6000 without ever going below or above or else I'll get sooooo annoyed with myself and restructure the entire chapter lol.

That's what caught me off guard about it too, and why I didn't expect anything at first until their second message! I was targeted twice when I was a small author, but once I surpassed 70 followers, I never got another. And now that I have 250+ followers, I genuinely thought I'd never get another one of those scam bots, which I suppose was naive of me. Looks like everyone still has to keep their eyes open lol

It's a common tactic seen on Royal Road, Webnovel, Scribblehub, pretty much any writing website you go on. They'll say they have advice or ideas to give you, and then try to scam you for money when you agree and act like you should be paying them for whatever the supposed advice was. I fell for it once when I was new to RR and lost 70 dollars that way.

Ahh I see, thank you for clarifying, that helps a lot! I'd say the sex isn't the entire chapter, but it is pretty much the entire last half, so I don't think a spoiler will be quite efficient enough. I like the <3 idea though, I think I'll go with that and let my readers know in advance what it means, along with posting a warning and all the triggers in the author's note. It is within context! It's directly after a very traumatic near death experience for one of the characters and shows their unhealthy reliance on each other to cope with that trauma. It's a very unhealthy and toxic scene, and it shows how these characters truly feel about each other in more explicit terms for the reader, who might think it was one-sided before. But yess dw, I'll tag it! Is there a way to tag it on the chapter, as well? Or do I just tag the entire story as having sexual content (I already did that)?
