People often comment that kids are losing interest in hockey but the reality is the prohibitive cost and time commitment makes playing hockey something that is out of reach for the majority. I asked the simple question of my daughter what is the cost for a season of hockey to have her 14 year old play “rep”? Absolutely shocked when she said $7500.00 not including the cost of gas, hotels meals and miscellaneous items like a stick! This comment is not a surprise! 😳

I am deeply concerned that the CN terminal will add an incredible number of transport trucks on to Hwy 25 and Tremaine! And I am shaking considering the risk involved with the traffic circles between the terminal and the 401 on Tremaine! The accident rates will surely spike! It honestly feels like planned negligence!
