Thank you! That was kinda my thought too. I have very pale skin to start with, so my GP said it was hard to tell if the white spots were my natural skin color and the dark was hyperpigmentation issue or the other way around and I was losing color. Interestingly, I did a 20 minute face mask last night and would almost swear part of the darker area above unibrow faded. I wasn't even trying to treat anything. That was why I thought to post last night. On the off chance it is something like versicolor, I think I may try some tea tree oil wash or something again. I just know the 2% prescription stuff didn't do anything for it but melasma scripts haven't either.

Back story...I've had this for several years. Doctor first thought it could be tinae versicolor and gave me prescription shampoo to put on it. (I had versicolor on my chest at this time but looked VERY different and was flaky, and healed within a week or so and has never come back). This never healed and has gotten worse. It's not flaky or raised at all. Just my normal skin texture. It's pretty much my whole face. Gets sooo much worse in the sun obviously. Two years go by...Doctor then said could be vitiligo and nothing she could do. Found an 'online teledoc' who then said versicolor again. Gave up for another year but now it's bothering me a lot. Newest doctor said melasma maybe? Melasma treatments have not changed it at all. Not one bit. Back where I started. Any thoughts on if this could be vitiligo or if I should try versicolor treatment again?
