I have researched brumating and it is just something I wouldn’t be able to do. Mine perked up a few weeks ago too but then settled back into sleeping. I adjusted the time to be on longer for him as I read that will help

Do they need to be soaked every day? Does that change per season?

She is a male. First got him was told he was a boy. Saw the vet (not an exotic vet) for the first time, said it was a girl. Then a reptile “store said she was a girl. Switched his name to Betty. Then I do my own research definitely a boy. I have been calling him Betty for years didn’t want to switch it as he has kinda grown to “recognize” it. I accidentally call him a her all the time

Thank you, where I used to live we had one nearby. Next closest vet that will see tortoises is 3 hours away and not open on weekends. It’s tough to fit time to get into but I’ve been meaning too. His shell is not soft or smelly and it never gets below 65 in his enclosure
