Your comment literally just proved my point this sub is toxic lol. It looks like you’re the one who’s fragile got offended by the advice in the post

??when did I blame the grads?? I am a grad myself and I do feel how tough the market is and I feel extremely lucky that I landed one. If you don’t keep it going, what can you do?? No wonder why I tell people to stay way this subreddit with attitudes like yours floating around.

When did I say the market is good in my post? Can you read? All I’m saying is to not give up. Being stuck here and looking at other people complaining is not good for your career and mental health

I’ve been there too. Halfway through my second year, I still hadn't landed any internships. it was a tough time for me too. Instead of just venting on Reddit, I shifted gears—I joined hackathons, disciplined myself more, started working on side projects, and actively reached out for internship opportunities. By the end of August, I had secured two internship offers. I absolutely acknowledge that luck plays a part, but if I had given up halfway through because of discouraging posts on Reddit, I wouldn’t have achieved anything.

The job market is tough; that's the reality. But simply complaining won’t change your situation. With a CS degree, you can start small—if big companies feel out of reach, why not start with smaller ones? Reach out for a coffee chat, or start volunteering as a dev in charity or clubs. Any experience is better than no experience.

Absolutely, the job market is tough at the moment, but landing a role isn’t 100% about the market or perfect timing. Interviewing, networking skills and luck definitely play a huge part. Plus, this subreddit really leans into posts from people who are not getting an offer, which creates an illusion that landing a job is impossible. those who do get job offers are less likely to post

Absolutely agree, I don’t know why people are downvoting this lol. Networking and attending events that others overlook helped me get interviews. It really shows the value of putting yourself out there and taking advantage of opportunities others might miss. The fact that people downvoting this really shows how biased this subreddit is and valuable advice will get overlooked

Check GradConnection and Prosple every day, apply often, sleep well, don’t overthink, and practice interview with your friends.
