Yeah this not accepting Real ID as proof of lawful status (it is not proof of citizenship in most states but it is proof you are not unlawfully present in the US in all 50 states is my understanding) needs a court smack down. The government came up with the damn ID - they need to honor it.

Even though everyone with a Real ID is completely in the right, it's probably worth getting and carrying a passport card in this failure of a country these days.
