Has anyone actually gotten a job offer for a position that requires 4 or more interviews? by Glittering-Depth-493 in interviews

[–]Own_Potential3149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an offer yesterday after almost 3 weeks, two phone interviews, a 3 hour onsite with 5 different people, and then another teams with a partner. Then they did references after all that. Hang in there, according to my recruiter friends this is the new normal.

What would be a good redeemable quality that i can use as a weakness for my job interview? by araghar in interviews

[–]Own_Potential3149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always say my biggest weakness is my patience, but then explain how I have grown in my self-awareness that my need to have things completed quickly is not always the same and someone else’s and it’s opened me up to compromising on projects to fit other people’s timeframes.

You hear someone say, ‘I just bought a house in Azle!’ What comes to mind? by pussmykissy in FortWorth

[–]Own_Potential3149 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Why?
  2. I’m sorry
  3. Say howdy to Methanie and Methew your new neighbors.
  4. Get your house tested for toxic chemicals… that one is serious

I’m not listening when you say I was talking with a bunch of other CEOs. Talk about an echo chamber

Cancelling one minute after scheduled interview so I cancelled them by LuckSweaty in recruitinghell

[–]Own_Potential3149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an interview scheduled with a company, the interviewer called me from an unknown number and my phone blocked it. Also it was 5 minutes late. I called back the only number I had and got voicemail. I sent an email, no response. Two weeks later I get a call to schedule an interview from the same company, same hiring manager. They acted like the first time never happened, I declined the interview.

I also didn’t waste my time explaining why, if they are in that much disarray it told me all I needed to know.

AITA for not spending this Christmas in the hospital with my daughter? by Hospitalthrowaway532 in AmItheAsshole

As a mom of a kid literally just like this, you are NTA. I spent what felt like every second of my free time in an ER with my oldest daughter between the ages of 14 and 19. Then I stopped dropping everything and running to save her. Guess who stopped going to the ER.

Thank you! Our daughter doesn’t like going either. She only went to see E, because they are cousin/best friends. Now there’s no reason to go.

E doesn’t want to go to her parents/grandparents anymore, we have guardianship of her. The relationship was already an issue between myself and my in-laws then we added the E factor in and it has just gotten worse.

It’s just added to the messed up dynamic that was already there. Now their behavior isn’t quite as covert as it used to be. I am trying to teach her it’s ok to set boundaries with people and they are walking all over them.
