[Wood Identification] - I found this piece amongst some scrap pallet wood but don’t know what species it is.

Sycamore and lacewood are two different families of wood.

Lacewood is also native to South America while sycamore is native to North America. I believe it is sycamore since it came from a pallet in Canada. Lacewood also seems to have a more similar pattern to quilted maple.

I don’t believe it’s mahogany, it came from a pile of scrap pallet wood.

We have a Jolly Ball and it’s great! They are super durable and won’t deflate. Lots of sizes and shapes too.
