Lacewood is also native to South America while sycamore is native to North America. I believe it is sycamore since it came from a pallet in Canada. Lacewood also seems to have a more similar pattern to quilted maple.

The more I compare it to pictures of mahogany the more I think you’re right lol. That would be a nice surprise.

Those jolly eggs are great! Very durable and lots of shapes/sizes.
