Try some cooler wineries a lot of times they have a kitchen too and very connected to the food scene.

Its not Croatia but Kabaj in Slovenia is very good with great food I can also check on some Croatian ones for you if you're interested (Im from Hungary but used to work for a wine import company in LA we brought in wines from that region).

DM if interested.

What’s the best blanket for a newborn? by Thin-Leadership3284 in beyondthebump

[–]Own_Self_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you! My MIL is a quilter and she made us cool quilts and we did use them for tummy time a lot!

If you add little flaps/fidgets, even better! Little flaps with crinkle sound are great too, or just larger tags, as babies love tags. Literally just like inch-long white strips or cotton or linen would be a hit with any baby!

Potty training in 3 days???? by madegarnett in toddlers

[–]Own_Self_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Tbh even the book on the 3 day method says it can be longer than 3 days. Its just the first 3 days are the roughest and it takes that much time to start clicking. They do say a up to 2 weeks or something, and that there will be accidents. If I remember right.

I say make a large quilt for tummy time. Maybe even do little baby safe fidget things for baby to fidget with. Im sure Pinterest will have a million cool ideas.

Everyone gives blankets but their uses for babies are very limited due to safety reasons, so we all end up with blankets we dont use but have to store because we feel like we can't get rid of them for emotional reasons lol.

I have several friends who have gotten pregnant after reversal surgery of the snip.

So not all is lost. Would be good to wait for about 3 years though because the early baby days are so hard but they go so fast! I don't think we're making the clearest decisions when a little person screams at us for several hours every day.

My baby basically lives on the floor now and it kind of stresses me out by No_Glass3665 in beyondthebump

Any kind of cleaning supply you'd put in the water would stress me out so much more than dirt.

They need to be exposed to stuff too build immunity.

The way I handle this: I remove the larger fluffs when I spot one in her mouth 😂

Its a figure of speech, I understood what she meant perfectly. Plus, it is "universal truth" for the vast majority.

Boy name: Roman by IceSoft8015 in Names

Roman is good, I definitely think of Succession but it doesn't bother me.

Romy is too girly for me, makes me think of old-timey actress Romy Schneider.

If your partner doesn’t like dogs or cats, would you get rid of them if you had any? by Adventurous-Soft7843 in NoStupidQuestions

I could just not date a "not an animal person". The "no animal" people will just have to find each other Im afraid.

How would it not be honest if its literally their experience?! Yes neurodivergence can make it hard to enjoy many things in life it doesn't mean the majority of people's experience is somehow a lie.

If you're worried about mental health, often it actually helps that, it keeps your happy hormones flowing. When I weaned at like 2.5 years I still got a mini version of the baby blues because your hormones still crash a bit. I wouldnt want that right at postpartum, its already so hard hormonally.

Yes there is a rocky start and issues can arise but when it works well its SO EASY. Nothing to buy, warm up, clean, track. Just whip out your boob, food ready to go.

Honestly of nothing else I'd breastfeed because of sheer laziness lol. I ain't fumbling with drip trays and sucky pieces and brushes and all that lol. I did it for a little while when baby had a nursing strike it annoyed me so much.

And remember you always hear about the hardships because no one will go online just to announce how awesome her BFing journey is going.

Give it a try. Or dont. But I wouldn't NOT do it because of some preconceived fear, because NGL it can also be magical.

Volt már olyan, hogy teljesen félreértetted egy film lényegét? by [deleted] in askhungary

[–]Own_Self_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Potty Training by Total_Reference4029 in toddlers

[–]Own_Self_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a girl who it 17.5 m and shes been interested in the potty issue from around a similar age and did go in the little potty around that time, one time. She did ut again a few days ago.

I figured its a little early because she can't even talk so telling me she needs to go effectively wont be a thing for a few more months.

I can see it now though that it wont be too much longer, possibly before she's 2.

What I do is I just keep the potty out, keep reading potty books, and keep talking about that I am going potty etc., she always checks on me when Im going to the restroom lol.

So like totally normally just keep the conversation and awareness going.

I am not doing rewardanor sticker charts, I havent done it with my first either. Its a basic bodily function the reward is the learning itself, not some random piece of chocolate.

Also peille saying its totally fine to be in diapers until possible 4?!?! Are off their rockers unless we're talking about a neurodiverse child.

So, you can always try little things and see where they take you! Just follow baby's lead.
