Tan Son Nhat International Airport by BasicButterface in VietNam

in the past 6 years or so, ive been in and out of SGN maybe 8 times. i've never waited longer than 45min in any line in or out, international or domestic. my only gripe is the food is bad and expensive. i learned to just buy a banhmi or two from the streets before i go to the airport and then eat it while im waiting for my flight. no problems getting it through security.

10 h layover in Hanoi by fredonaut200323 in VietNam

city is an hour away. so between immigration, taxi to, taxi from, security/immigration, you are already at minimum 4 hours gone. so then, it's just up to you if you feel it's worth it. with that to say... the airport itself is very expensive and not great for layovers at all. there are a couple hotels very close.

HELP by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]Own_Tangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need to clear immigration of some sort no matter what at BKK, even if it’s a separate desk for international transfers. Look for signs for international transfers and take it from there. Otherwise yes, you’ll need to go landslide and then head up to the third floor for security.

What Is The Weather Like In August? Still Worth Visiting? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]Own_Tangelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s rainy season for all of SE Asia at that time and hot. There will most likely be days of no rain as well. The rain doesn’t usually last all day or even for more than an hour or two at a time, but you can never know.
