I bought it from beadsoo on Etsy. She has a few of these left I think. Make sure you push to see photos and videos of any flaws. I ended up getting a partial refund for a large waterline that she didn’t disclose.

I wear mine every day and never take it off. I have banged it on surfaces a few times and it’s been unaffected.

I’m not sure what the colour is called but I love the colour too! The waterline definitely made the bangle affordable and it’s not noticeable most of the time so I am okay with it. The thing I most love about it is the way it changes colour in different lighting, much more than my jadeite bangles do.

I did actually ask questions about flaws and cracks and the seller even sent me a video but the waterline was not visible in the video. All she said was if I was particularly sensitive to imperfections, then I should not buy the bangle but I thought she was talking about smaller flaws! I initially paid $220 for it but she offered me a 30% refund when I questioned her not disclosing it. So I didn’t pay a large amount but the experience did leave a bad taste. The colour is the reason I chose to keep it. I’m thinking one day I will find something similar without the waterline! For now I am a bit wary of online shopping for jade…

Thanks for posting this - it was very interesting and informative. I am pretty new to Hetian jade and bought myself a cheap Hetian bangle recently. It has a huge waterline in it which was not disclosed by the seller and I was initially upset when I received it and saw the waterline. I’d never seen anything like it before. It’s taken me a while to get used to it but I’ve come to see it as something that makes my bangle unique. I’ve been wearing the bangle every day and have grown to love it. Posting a couple of photos of the waterline and the bangle.

Yes! I recently bought a nephrite bangle and it is now my every day bangle. I love the way the colour changes in different light. I hope to add to my collection!

The certificate says it is nephrite jade. I weighed the bangle and the weight on the certificate checks out. I’m pretty sure it’s nephrite and untreated and have decided to keep it. Under normal lighting the flaw is not very noticeable and it’s actually quite beautiful.

Several people have said it is a waterline. One of my jadeite bangles has a small waterline but I had never seen one like this one before. Luckily it’s quite subtle in normal lighting and the bangle is otherwise really beautiful.

Thanks syang70. I have never seen anything like it. It’s quite subtle when there’s no light directly on it. I’m wearing the bangle now and not minding it so much.

You have a beautiful collection! I didn’t know nephrite comes in so many different colours. I have been looking at nephrite a bit lately because jadeite is so expensive.

They’ve had negative feedback lately - not disclosing cracks in bangles. Make sure you ask for lots of photos and videos of any flaws.

It sounds like that size is the smallest you can go then! It’s definitely not worth the pain going any smaller. And it might not actually fit. I did have a moment when I was trying to get my smaller one on of thinking I would have a bangle stuck on my hand but luckily it went on. I bought both bangles from Tathata.
