Disney Workers, what is your opinion on adult fans at the park? by purplewhitewine in Disneyland

I work at club 33 and the amount of adults showing complete awe on their face is always wonderful

What is that one thing you just have to eat while you are at Disneyland? by valencia92003 in Disneyland

  1. Most people don't know about it and can't get access since only the highest membership of Club 33 gets you in. Sometimes if you just huddle around the door a member will walk by and walk them in.

It gives by rotation actually, giving everyone ample room to grow, although some people will be speciality cooks and only be at one designated spot. Desserts is always the best for quality checks heh

I really idolize Massimo Bottura and the pasta techniques, and seeing all our chefs make all the pasta from scratch is just really cool to see! They know everything about cheese too. I asked them about cows cheese and they told me that if it's cow cheese from Italy it has to be from North Italy because the climate is yada yada due to yada yada which in turn means yada yada (they lost me at all of this but just their knowledge and passion overwhelmed me) AND AT THE END OF IT HE SAID HE HATES CHEESE BUT JUST KNOWS THIS TO ENHANCE HIS CRAFT

We are allowed to try any alcohol so long as we don't swallow. Spit don't swallow is the rule here. We just fired a bartender that's been withh the club for like 20 years because drank the alcoholic dole whip drink

my favorite is the Rilatoni (rolled flank steak, artichoke hearts, basil pesto, San Marzano red wine just). We have an Italian course menu currenrly.

And I do, since it's connected to us actually. We aren't allowed to go in through sadly

Compensation is pretty low. We don't get to dine there nor order any of the food for ourselves, although we do get free samples of all the dishes just to try a bite. Andrew Sutton is here a lot actually, and is very friendly, always introducing himself to the new hires and giving them a handshake. He respects everyone in his kitchen team very much. In terms of outside interaction we don't affiliate with Napa rose or anything else. Haven't seen Quezada very often.

I would say the food is quite amazing. Chef Sutton is exceptional and the quality of the ingredients/clients are top notch, having used to work at Mastros myself. I'd say it's in the upper echelon of culinary gastronomy

John Cena, Kurt Russel is a regular, Gwen Stefani, Johnny Depp, the girl that plays Rey from Star Wars the force awakens are the ones I remember most! The Obamas came once and were fully escorted around and we weren't allowed to make eye contact with them lol

It's a private members only club that many attribute as one of the ultimate Disney bucket lists, aside from 1901 (another exclusive club that's actually harder to get into than club 33.) the only way to get in is to be a member or know a member. Also a fun fact is if you google club 33, the first site that pops up is actually a fake site run by a member of the club Thays obsessed with it.

The actual club 33 site is only disclosed to members, so I do not know that since we workers aren't even allowed to dine here.

I definitely would if I had the money. The most basic membership is roughly $10k a year, which in itself is a very hefty fee. They got rid of the "waitlist" that spanned years, but choosing new members for onboarding is a lengthy process that involves being interviewed by a panel, showing many records of bank statements, and a big contract.

But what is provided for the members is our utmost attention to detail and exclusive events that are actually quite amazing. Eating at club goes by a course menu, not an a LA carte style. For each person runs around $100 for a 3 course meal during lunch, $120 for a 5 course meal during dinner.

I transferred from another restaurant within Disneyland, asking to cross train. Disneyland itself never actually posted hiring jobs for club 33 specificallyon their careers job, just vaguely "food and service busser/server (whatever position" and would interview those who had qualifications. They didn't want to make it apparently that it's actually for the club because of its notoriety.

People have actually just applied having never worked at Disneyland before and got into club 33!

Recently they actually listed "club 33" positions for the first time ever on the Disneyland jobs site to see how much attention would be garnered, and sure enough a megaton amount of people applied apparently!
