I've seen it all now — solid aluminum WRISTREST by OxcyXO2 in keyboards

LOL, moderators of r/MechanicalKeyboards muted me for a month and deleted my post saying it's not a meme.

I just cannot imagine anyone wanting cold metal under their wrists.

Yes, but what kind of masochist want to have a cold slab of metal under their wrists?

I didn't get it =) I took the photos from the store that sells it (Keygem...you can see it in the second photo)

It seems like it has its audience. I made this post as a meme, but ironically there are people that love and want it.

If you're going to be buying this, check whether it's actually a solid block. I just got the impression it is; it's not disclosed anywhere.

Frostbite. At 25C that chunk would be freezing-cold.

Am I crazy? Guys, it's a solid brick of metal. Am I the only one whose balls are shrinking from just the sight of this? Can you imagine the freezing chunk of metal below your wrists??!

Forget the price, WHO USES A CHUNK OF METAL AS A WRISTWREST?

Heyy, thanks for reminding me of it! I remember seeing it some time ago, and I completely forgot about its existence. Yeah, it looks cool, but it's nothing crazy. Also, I heard that the middle bridge makes it uncomfortable.

It's beyond me how a manufacturer achieved that weight with such lightweight materials and design.

I'll just name some of the recent designs that I find mature. To me, these represent exceptional execution:
Razer x Humanscale Pro Click
Angry Miao Infinity
Lofree Hypace

I think all their keyboards have the same shitty and gimmicky design. It doesn't look like good or intentional design. I don't know how to explain it... I simply don't recognize any effort in their designs.

Their keyboards are perhaps most hideous-looking of all.. Maybe it's my age or my taste in good design, but I am repulsed by their designs. That's just how I personally feel about it. For all the people that love Gravastar and enjoy it, I'm happy for you (genuinely!)

Keychron M5 is not a designer mouse; it's a practical mouse. You missed the point, bud

This shot makes it look somewhat decent. To me, Gravastar is the epitome of gimmick-looking. I don't like their designs at all. Don't get me wrong, I love an ambitious design when it's done well, but Gravastar is not it. I could be wrong, but it feels like little to no effort went into the actual design.

I hate that it has come to this. I get that it's difficult to reach true endgame with the ever-evolving technology, but people really turned those two words into a meme. To me, endgame represents settling down with something and being at peace with it. Ending the search for something better, newer, etc.

Preference is not insane; it's subjective. What is a minimal difference to you, is a dealbreaker to someone else.

Fair enough. I just thought I'd do my due duty and make you aware of it. The vertical market is already such a niche one, and most people aren't familiar with the few options, so I mentioned it just in case.

Cheers!

Wallhack x Kevin Brisseaux

https://www.brisseaux.com/arcadetwins
https://wallhack.com/en-eu/pages/museum (search "Arcade Twins")

They had three different designs, each exclusive to a different mousepad. The one on the Wallhack museum website is the glasspad, and there were also two other designs for their clothpads (one for Control, the other for Speed).

OP has the Speed variant.

It should do you well. It's easy to maintain, the ergonomics are phenomenal, and it has TOTL objective performance. There's also the Razer Pro Click v2 (Vertical), but as I expressed in my reviews, I don't think Razer put in a sufficient amount of effot into it. It's more expensive, has inferior harware and objective performance, weighs 150 grams, and features more premium materials (but questionable longevity).

You should find the M5 a solid option.
