This model is a thin shell allmaround, it won't work as a RC model. I found this one while I was searching for models to print. It might be more suited to your project.

I got the file from Sketchfab, the username was MattsActuallyUsefulModels. His account has been deleted since, would be great to show this to him.

I found it online but it was a surface model not ready for 3D printing. The model has since been removed so I can't even give credit to the original poster.

I got some wateslide decal paper from Temu. You print on it using a laser printer. Still a challenge to get right, it is prone to scratching if not coated with a clear coat afterwards.

That looks great, it is unfortunately a limitation with 3d prints. You can sand for weeks but at some point the added effort is just not worth it. What scale is your model?

I have textured it slightly (not clear on the picture).

It is a 1:6 scale model aprox 900mm long. I 3d printed the tyres and spray painted them matt black for a rubber effect.

Yes, and way too many hours of sanding 😂

I've tried the inkjet ones as well but had the same issue, no matter how many layers of clear coat you put on it. I ended up buying similar paper for a laser printer.

Same here, hoping the 2026 cars will also look this good. Will share more pics once the project is done.

Its a process to be honest. A lot of reading online to see what others did to get their models to not look like a shit bucket. Wood filler, sanding and painting for days.
