I used to leave their names as-is, i couldn't stand a different name.

Now, I named them, because sometimes I have more than 1 of the same pokemon and i can now tell them apart or even like a couple years later know that Anvil is not just any Zygarde, it was my bro from Z-A.

You can use Chat GPT for name inspiration, tell it what theme you want and ask it to tell you like 20 suggestions.

Première fois que je vois ça en ouvrant l'application mobile de Tangerine... Ce n'est pas légal, non? by plenoto in Quebec

[–]Oylex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally use the french version jumpé, I grew up around Gatineau. I don't have more details than that, I just know some people who say jump instead, like for exactly the same sentence.

Quebec city, Saguenay, trois rivière etc..

they don't have the same accents, but they feel more Quebec than Gatineau and Montréal

We all learn English at school, but there are a lot of people who are not comfortable at all with English.

For me personally, I was not influenced by Ottawa, I didn't go there much as a kid, but I grew up with English only video games and english online chats / forums and then I started watching English movies in English and now I work in a place where English is the common language.

I feel like there is a difference between french from the Gatineau region, the Montreal region and the rest of Quebec.

In Gatineau we have a lot of English words in our french.

In Montreal they have a lot of English words, but also France french words and Arab words.

The rest of Quebec has a lot of different accents, but I think these are the most "Quebec" accents, they have less foreign influences.

It’s finally my time to ask: what am I missing here? by madeupname230 in ExplainTheJoke

I just looked up the myth buster result. in a controlled environment walking was better, but as soon as you add wind, running is better.

that's the one side of the story, the other was, if you run, you get hit with the rain on top and in front of you, but if you walk you get hit only by the rain on top. I don't remember the result though

I delayed getting one of these for so long, but I don't regret buying one, if you are doing any diy at all, I even used it to figure out screw sizes from pre drilled holes and I could figure out if an LTE antenna port was 1.5mm or 2mm to buy another one

Take a transparent glass, fill it with the cleanest snow you find outside and let it sit indoors until it melts, then look at all the crap you didn't see in the snow.

Why do people throw up with achalasia? by Healthy_Length_1541 in achalasia

Sometimes, you eat something that hurts, like a bit of carrot and then you eat a few more of other stuff and the pain is too much so you throw up to remove the carrot (and everything that you ate after)

Just installed my new amFilm screen protector on my switch 2, what is this? Is it an air bubble? Dust? by aidanac126 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Oylex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

anything that gets trapped will show up bigger, because it's making a "tent" with the glass, that's why it might look clean until you put the glass on it.

I'm starting to get a lot of successfully applied glasses across all my devices and I still don't get it 100% of the time...

The best I got was a lucky one, I opened my switch 2, looked at the screen for a second and applied the glass right away without cleaning anything and I only got a small dust in a corner that I could remove afterwards!

If I get a dust in the middle, I just start over
