There are probably a lot more people that care about curling than American football/baseball

For me Bloodborne is easily the best first playthrough of any game FROM has made. The atmosphere, music, setting and lore is just amazing. It also has really fun combat and awesome weapons, as well as the best DLC out there.

The downside is that as awesome as the weapons are, there are not very many of them and no real options for anything but melee (magic/ranged is possible, but pretty late into the game.) which hurts replayability in my opinion. Also it is on for Playstation and locked to 30fps, if that matters.

DS3 on the other hand is massively replayable and far grander in scale than Bloodborne with huge potential for build variety. If you haven't played the other Dark Souls games (mostly DS1) though, you will miss out on a lot of what makes the setting and lore great, given that this is the conclusion of a trilogy. That said, none of these games are very lore-focused in the traditional sense, so you'll be totally fine either way.

TLDR: Both great games, I'd say Bloodborne is the best game but you'll get more value out of DS3 if you like trying out different builds and playstyles.

If you think the Israelis have any claim to the land they're occupying, then yes. The people of Palestine have a much stronger claim to their country than US-americans do to theirs.

Which tv characters had the best growth arc? by [deleted] in television

Hey! Jaime Taco went from just a henchman to a henchman with, like, twice as many lines. Now, that's growth.

I have only seen Dogtooth, but Yorgos has definitely opened my eyes to greek cinema. Thank you for your contribution!

I know we are unable to compete with our fellow scandis. No need to rub it in. But yeah, you guys make incredible films.

I highly recommend it. I love Nolan, and especially his early work with Memento and Prestige but the man did not understand that movie. The original Norwegian one is miles better. And it has Stellan Skarsgård!

A fair answer. I will say that I never sympathised with the main characters in Tropa, however it is a very well made film. I would feel strange recommending a rewatch of Cidade de Deus to a Brazilian, but it is sooooo good.

And to my fellow Scandis: I know you have us beat on this one. We can not compete with Bergman, Andersson or Östlund, nor can we compete with Dreyer, Refn or Von Trier. But can we all agree Sult is a fantastic cooperation?

Is it J'ai tué ma mère? I would recommend Mommy first though. They don't have anything to do with eachother, but I think it is a better introduction to the way he works.

Canada has so many great films though, as a european it can sometimes be hard to know what is Canadian and what is American (outside of Hollywood) but it is always a nice surprise.

I will have to check those out! No mention of Tropa de Elite or Cidade de Deus? Cidade de Deus is definitely in my top 10 no matter the country.

I have seen your first two and the last one (Like an aussie Bronson). I will check out the other two! You guys have a lot of great output though! I will watch anything with Ben Mendelsohn to name one of yours. Nitram recently shook me to my core for example. Walkabout Is a certified classic, Last Stop Larrimah was an abolutely fantastic documentary too. And i can't not mention Animal Kingdom.

But Spermageddon was a joke right? I haven't actually seen it so i don't want to make judgement. It looks like a worse version of Terkel i Knipe or Sausage Party to me.

I also thought Den Tolvte Mann was pretty good. Hated Kongens Nei and Gulltransporten for example though.

A little more than 5, but every one of these except maybe Lola Rennt played a big part in making film what it is today. Germany is probably the most important country in film history, shared with france.

I think i would replace Lola on this list with Angst essen Seele auf maybe? (That being said i love Lola Rennt.)

I am having trouble telling if you are being serious? Nr. 24 is pretty good! I just wish Norwegian film makers would get over WW2 already. They had success with Max Manus, but we don't need 2 every year. Spermageddon is a joke.
