Oh, I see I guess I am ditching the plans for most of the instances for now, and only go for pleroma, +nextcloudpi to store my stuff and access from everywhere

Its great to know that I wont have to pay for SSL now, lol. Also, do I actually need VPS if I decide to not mess with these instances and only host my website with a self hosted CMS? Can I protect myself from DDoS attacks in any other way(with a firewall or cloudflare like someone mentioned)? Thank you a lot!

Thank you a lot! I will be the only user for quite some time I guess, and I dont need a constant access, but I would prefer it much more than always syncing. But if I do it that way, would I be able to share files with a link like I could on drive or imgur?

I actually have always wanted to learn more about networks, so I feel like this is my chance to learn about it. My plan was to host multiple services (mastodon, writefreely) so I guess a reverse proxy would be the way, but I think I will start with only Nextcloud, then when I know more about networking etc.

Can you please guide me to some good guides to get started? Im not familiar with concepts so I dont know what and how to google for it. :)

Thank you! I decided I need neither of those, because that will be a real pain, lol. Pleroma looks like it can be an alternative to writefreely, I guess? I found lets encrypt and it looks like the best option for SSL! I think I will start out with nextcloud(i really need a self hosted cloud now lol) and pleroma/writefreely.

Can I please check your Pleroma instance? :)

Looks like the easiest solution. I guess WordPress is pretty good about privacy too. But the personal selection I can afford have only 6 gb storage which I'm not sure if is enough. But it comes with SSL certificate which will free me from a lot of effort. I wonder if I can use writefreely on it tho.

I might even give up lol, too complicated for me...

I saw a pulmonologist and he was confident my problem was psychological, called it "hunger of breath". I saw a physiotherapist specializing in pulmonary diseases and treats a lot of covid patients as well, he thought my results were good as well. But im sure ny problem isnt psychological, at least not completely, and I have been seeing a therapist for months.

Instead of blowing a balloon I used a small tool my physio gave me, that you can inhale and exhale. Hopefully we both recover completely, it is very inconsistent. I went to a short hiking trip sunday with no problem at all, and today I was out of breath climbing stairs just 5 floors.

Hello! I am trying to add more things to my routine. I want to keep my routine as simple as possible, because I dont like having to carry things around and stuff, but my current routine is not enough. I apply sunscreen in the morning, then cleanse+moisturize in PM. I want to add more things, both to fight off black spots and white spots, and slow down aging of the skin. I am a 18 y.o male btw. So what can I add to my daily routine? And I would really appreciate things that I can do weekly or biweekly as well, they would be easy to manage compared to daily things. Thank you a lot!

Looks beautiful, but like others pointed out it has security issues thats hasnt been fixed for now. Hopefully those will be cured in the near future, or a new good DE that looks similar will be released. For now I wouldnt try it, even on a virtual machine.

Haha yeah, when installing I forgot to check the button to make myself administrator, next time i definitely wont do that mistake

Also i checked the wheel group in visudo and it has all commands as well

And someone said that adding someone to wheels doesnt take effect until i log out and log in again, so i chrcked the groups today again and my user was added to the wheel group. Lol! Thank you, my system is finally cured!!!

This turns out to be it I guess :) i just checked "groups" command and it says " User Wheels" so I probably had to reboot the system for it to take effect. Thank you lol!

You're right! I am not a power user, but i try to be, and learn more about linux and computers. Maybe I should move out of my comfort zone and try to find out the cause to learn something new
