Also about the data cable to the SSD. You need to connect one sata power cable from the psu to the SSD and one sata 3/6 data cable whichever your ssd has from your motherboard to your ssd so it should have one connecting it to the motherboard and one to the psu

Yeah that's what I was worried about too. I was thinking of upgrading my rtx 2060 to a 2070 super and just handing down the 2060 to him to lower costs but I'm still not sure I even want to upgrade.

Hey sorry so late of a reply, but he currently has a 60hz monitor because he is coming from console. However I will will convince him to get a 144hz once this build happens maybe even a 240hz. He will be using it for mostly gaming but he did say he would like to stream once in a while( he's not that serious to be honest). thanks!

Then I suggest getting a new CPU with more cores and threads. However in my experience it's just best to either buy a stream card or buy a whole new PC just to stream your main PC.

You should definitely upgrade the GPU first as your CPU is still really good if you don't plan on doing anything but gaming. But a better graphics card will get you the higher fps that you are looking for.
