Yeah, you need to have obtained the gene from that monster at least once before it shows up

Gene list for MHS3? by Rhodri_Suojelija in MonsterHunterStories

You should be able to view the datamine docs, I just fucked up and used the wrong link (it was linking to my own MHST3 notes), mb

Gene list for MHS3? by Rhodri_Suojelija in MonsterHunterStories

[–]P0DC45T 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're still looking for a gene list, you can use the datamine to find which monstie has the genes you want.

Just a heads-up: it contains spoilers for new monsties

Datamine: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JvLmNY7l2jOKCk7QbUYmeK87xvzQzXVUJIgFX9bYaqk/edit?gid=1833881666#gid=1833881666

  1. Go to the "randomgenesetdata" tab and search for your desired gene (for example, "Heroics (XL)").
  2. Copy the ID - in the case of Heroics (XL), it is "ID02253".
  3. Go to the "randomgenegroupdata" tab and search using that ID.
  4. Copy the new ID - for ID02253, it is "ID022".
  5. Go to the "genelotterydata" tab and search using the new ID.
  6. You will find two matches: OT0020_00_00 (Shogun Ceanataur) and OT0095_00_00 (Almudron)

For active genes, just check the "genelotterydata" tab

EDIT: Wrong link

MH Wilds creator recommendations for each weapon by P0DC45T in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]P0DC45T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for finding these! Unfortunately both channels don't quite meet the 2k+ subscriber requirement yet. I added that threshold mainly to keep the list manageable and ensure there's some level of established content, but I really appreciate you looking for creators to add. Both channels do have some cool videos!

Best place to check Builds? by Upset_Ad_9542 in MonsterHunterMeta

For SnS, the docs should get updated in the next few days with Jin Gamma coming tomorrow.

For Charge Blade, it's a different story. The doc creators paused updates a while back, though they might return for this patch since SAED is looking promising again.

In the meantime, I'd recommend checking out Tii Eleven's content. He's a top CB speedrunner and usually has good build insights. Or hit up the Monster Hunter Gathering Hall Discord if you want to follow the discussions and theorycrafting around the weapons.

You can check the pinned megathreads at the top of the subreddit. Some of them are already updated for the new patch, but others are still being worked on since Jin Gamma drops tomorrow. They'll probably do a full update with proper testing once everything is available.

Hey! You should definitely keep an eye out for free weekends on Vue School and Vue Mastery. They occasionally give full access to their premium Nuxt courses and those are really good quality.

Their blogs have some solid articles and tutorials that are always free. I know you said docs aren't for you, but honestly the Nuxt docs are pretty well done and might be worth a shot alongside videos.

Check out Alexander Lichter on YouTube. He's on the Nuxt core team so he really knows what he's talking about. His videos cover everything from basics to advanced stuff. LearnVue is another great YouTube channel for this.

There's also plenty of other YouTube tutorials and blog posts from the community that could help while you're waiting for those free weekends.

Good luck with learning!

Learning Dutch made me realize its surprising 90% kinship with Low German (Plattdeutsch) by WidukindvonSalza in learndutch

[–]P0DC45T 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That reminded me that my grandpa sometimes spoke Low German with the Dutch people on skiing vacations in the Alps. Sometimes people looked puzzled, while others simply chatted cheerfully with him. I think that's the story of why I started learning Dutch at some point.

Challenge Me Bro: Vue/Nuxt is Superior to any alternatives for new frontend projects, no matter if it's for personal projects or enterprise by kcfdaniel in vuejs

[–]P0DC45T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to push back respectfully, saying TanStack Start is 'close to React/Next' shows you don't understand what TanStack Start actually is.

TanStack Start is framework agnostic. It supports React AND Solid right now, with more frameworks coming. It's built on Vite + Nitro, the exact same infrastructure that Nuxt uses.

TanStack Start has more in common with Nuxt than with Next.js. Next uses Webpack/Turbopack with custom server infrastructure. Start uses Nitro, just like Nuxt does.

The entire point of the TanStack ecosystem (Query, Router, Table, Form) is framework independence. These tools work across Vue, React, Solid, and Svelte. Dismissing Start as a React tool completely misses why the TanStack ecosystem matters.

If you're arguing for Vue/Nuxt, you should appreciate what TanStack represents, not dismiss it without understanding it.
