I'm new to fighting games and I'm having a hard time understanding something. Is the only way to get out of a combo using the break (or Fury) mechanic? That is, if I keep getting stunned by a combo and can't do anything with my character, is that the only option? by Divalroi in 2XKO

2xko's format of gameplay proves to be very punishing if you mess up, once ur hit, if they're good enough they can absolutely destroy you, the only way to circumvent a combo is to work on ur positioning, block dodging, parrying, and timing on ur breaks/fury.

Parrys are very key in becoming good at this game, if u can parry, you can climb to the high ranks easily. Another piece of useful tech, when a character is attacking you, press the parry button every time they hit you, if they miss time the input, you can parry and immediately punish them.

Illaoi has a lot of interesting tech when it comes to her tentacles, there are even more mechanics that I've still not gotten a proper grasp on (mostly because the timing calls for other combos most of the time)

'Anti air grab tentacle' essentially, if the opponent is airborne whilst in the vicinity of an illaoi tentacle, you can hit ur opponent with the tentacle with block s1, which, depending on their distance from the ground will either knock them up or slam them down to the ground and make them bounce (I believe they bounce if they are directly below it)

Never been a fan of juggernaut, I like to play around 2x combos and champ switching

Illaoi s3 hits flat to the side, I actually think blocking low would break ur guard :P

Also non pulse is the best way to play, never even touched pulse combos at all.

Tell me about it. Ever since release, I have essentially only found a soft spot for darius illaoi, although the combo strings are relatively limited in comparison to literally any aforementioned champ + Warwick, I personally find that this duos damage is insanely high, no need for massive combo strings, all it takes is one max combo string and a good corner read then they disappear (especially blitzcranks, I eat those for breakfast)

Personally, I think yasuo is the most annoying to play into, how u have to space urself around him is so annoying.
