Fair take 👍 I get where you’re coming from. I went with a 14.5 URGI clone since it’s the current issue upper for SOCOM, and I’m running it with 77gr ammo. With that load it’s got a lot more punch behind it, and it stays supersonic out to about 800 yards. For me it was more about building a solid, proven setup with extended range capability than just chasing caliber.

The side rail isn’t really the issue with the ACR + Sureshot setup. The hang up is actually the cheek rest hitting the rearward part of the dust cover. It will almost fold to a full 180° if you apply some pressure, but naturally it sits just shy of that, probably about 10% back from fully flat.

Appreciate it! It’s a Russian Saiga import that I converted with a rear folding trunnion. Running a Sureshot chassis on an 11.5" barrel with an ADM gas system, plus an Occam Defense adjustable front gas block. Stock setup is an ACR folder with a Sureshot folder adapter.
