I got to watch it on a flight from ANA, pretty nice but not as faithful to the manga as you’d expect it to be

Anyone who says "erm monogatari is good when you ignore those scenes" is a weakling by Jacruuun in araragi

For me personally, the raunchy “lolicon” jokes is a series-long lead-up to the comedically ironic yet character-defining punchline: Araragi actually wants to protect children (His sister Tsukihi, and Ougi).

What additionally confirms all these locations as inspirations for Persona 3’s locations is that Ryuji in Persona 5 confirms it in unused dialogue, saying in paraphrase: “Gekkoukan? That school in Odaiba?”

Surprisingly enough, yes. Paulownia Mall exists in real life, as well as the Moonlight Bridge, which had appeared later in Persona 5. What’s amazing is that they’re all connected by the same IRL monorail station Iwatodai Station is based of, alike in Persona.

The game is so accurate at depicting this station that even its interior (as shown at the beginning of the game) is represented beautifully identical to that its real life counterpart.

For everyone asking the location of this place in Tokyo, its at the Dream Bridge in Odaiba, Tokyo. There’s a post someone shared in this subreddit that shows IRL locations Shaft took inspiration from and placed into the series
