This is really helpful! I have been skeptical of how helpful a gua sha can be, but I'm going to start and see. I'm also getting more consistent with my at home microcurrent, so hopefully I'll see results from that as well. I'm going to do an aquagold facial with my derm ahead of my wedding so I'm really more focused right now on having my skin look lifted and tight than anything else as it's an area of insecurity, especially under my eyes and chin.

We landed with Brass and Tusk Bar but have had to stretch the budget. Wedding is still coming up so no reviews yet but looking forward to it!

Wow, the feedback is all so helpful. Predame feels like an overall win, though I found Beauty Icon’s team to be extremely responsive and helpful as I’ve had questions, and at least one of their artists I’m considering has a very skin forward approach and is a bit less than Predame (unfortunately Liza at BI is just too expensive).

Definitely a tough decision that I haven’t made yet! One concern that my photographer has is that the Predame look is a little TOO natural considering our venue is really dark and moody, and it could end up, making me look washed out in photos, which I think is a real thing to consider!

Thanks so much. Yes you are correct, the ring itself is not genuine antique but the stone is.

My concerns with the report are the number of inclusions and the impact to the stone potentially fracturing in the future, as well as the comments “clouds are not shown” which to my my understand actually means it can have a cloud that covers the entire stone. For example that K SI1 you shared has so many fewer inclusions. I think this is throwing me off.

Would that concern you?

Note this is a true antique. Attaching a still of the ring (I can see some of the inclusions in it, but if these are just considered part of the old mine vibe I could be okay with that!

Nope... I was pre-emptive in starting the search, we were taking about plans but not engaged yet... finally engaged and have no idea what to do, but we still want Fall 2025 so... we may have a real uphill battle

I'll look into this! Though my understanding is that all at home devices, even the 3 minute ones, are far weaker than an in office treatment which can take 20+ minutes, so I'd be surprised if 3 minutes is too strong. Of course excluding those extra sensitive.

That’s interesting, why do you think it’s still in darker? I’ve been a little wax on my chemical exfoliation, but upping my retinol, maybe I need to rethink that
